16 DAY North Island Adventure: September 10 - 25

DAY 1 - Arrive in Auckland and partake in the official launch event for The Great Crusade.

DAY 2 - In the morning a 192m walk above the ground to experience the SkyWalk on Auckland's Sky Tower will get the blood pumping. After that adrenaline rush, there'll be a relaxing tour around Auckland to take in the atmosphere of the city.

DAY 3 - Depart Auckland and head for Whangarei. In the afternoon the picturesque Whangarei Falls will provide some amazing views and photo opportunities.

DAY 4 - A day of outdoor adventures in Whangarei, with a morning of tree adventures at Adventure Forest being followed by a Pacific Coast Kayak Tour.

DAY 5 – In the afternoon, the convoy will make its way to Russell, 2 hours north of Whangarei.

DAY 6 - The best way to experience Russell and it's natural beauty is to go sailing in the Bay of Islands, on board the R.Tucker Thompson.

DAY 7 – The convoy will make its way back to Auckland. Enjoy an evening day off in Auckland.

DAY 8 – In the morning enjoy a Fullers Volcanic Explorer Tour on Rangitoto Island.

DAY 9 – Departing Auckland, the campervans head south for Lake Taupo. Upon arrival, an afternoon of activities at the Taupo Events Centre will be on offer in the form of hot tubs, swimming and indoor rock climbing..

DAY 10 – Adrenaline will be at an all-time high, as the tour goes Bungy Jumping at Taupo Bungy in the morning and white water rafting with Tongariro River Rafting in the afternoon.

DAY 11 - After catching its breath after the previous day of adventure, the tour will make for the coast at Napier. We step back in time and enjoy the vintage car tour at the Art Deco Trust before enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the Napier Oceans Spa’s.

DAY 12 – Given New Zealand's fine food & wine reputation, a winery tour in Hawke’s Bay seems essential and what better way to do it than on a cruiser bike with Coastal Wine Cycle Tour. Stop off at Clearview and Te Awanga Estate before enjoying lunch at Elephant Hill. After lunch take a 4x4 overland tour to see the world’s largest accessible Gannet Colony in the world at Cape Kidnappers.

DAY 13 – On the road again - a drive from Napier to Wellington will be the focus. On the way the the tour will visit Manukura, the rare White Kiwi in the Wairarapa. Pukaha Mount Bruce is New Zealand's national centre for breeding and researching some of New Zealand's rarest species.

DAY 14 – Whilst in Wellington, the Museum of New Zealand (Te Papa) provides the opportunity to experience all of New Zealand in one building at this bold and innovative museum. Te Papa is New Zealand's national museum, where you can explore the great stories of this fascinating land and the people who live there. The past, present and future are exhibited in provocative, challenging and entertaining ways. In the afternoon, the locations of The Lord of The Rings trilogy will be on show during a tour of Middle Earth filming locations.

DAY 15 – An exciting day at Boomrock Lodge awaits. Boomrock is situated on 8 kms of stunning coastline, with some of the world’s most exciting and innovative activities, stylish cuisine and impeccable hospitality. Whilst at Boomrock, there will be access to Claybird Shooting, 4 x 4 all terrain experience and then we strap up and buckle in to the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicle on our private racetrack, as our professional drivers take you for hot laps at breathtaking speed.

DAY 16 – The excitement of the 16 day North Island tour draws to a close in Wellington, as The Great Crusade sets itself for the South Island in the days to follow.


12 DAY South Island Adventure: September 29 - October 10

DAY 1 - Arrival into Wellington, cocktails and welcome at The Roxy.

DAY 2 - Boarding the Interislander ferry for a picturesque trip across Cook Strait and through Queen Charlotte Sound to Picton. From here, the Crusade will drive to the birthplace of New Zealand rugby, Nelson.

DAY 3 - A BBQ feast will be prepared and enjoyed in the picturesque wilderness surrounding Nelson.

DAY 4 - After driving from Nelson to Hanmer Springs, a relaxing afternoon at the Hanmer Hot Springs will be the perfect way to finish the day.

DAY 5 - Hanmer Springs is a thrill-seekers paradise, with Bungy Jumping and Jet Boating on offer to experience some hair-raising activities.

DAY 6 - A morning drive to the coastal town of Kaikoura will be followed by a breath-taking Whale Watching cruise.

DAY 7 - Continuing up the east coast of the South Island to Blenheim will see the tour arrive in the Marlborough region for a wine tour and dinner at Wither Hills Winery

DAY 8 - The tour heads back to Wellington on the Interislander Ferry across Cook Strait.

DAY 9 - Whilst enjoying the charm and personality of New Zealand's capital, a Rugby skills competition and BBQ Masterchef masterclass challenge will sort the pretenders from the budding professionals.

DAY 10 - After an action-packed week we head to ZEALANDIA the by night tour will provide amazing opportunities to observe New Zealand's diverse range of wildlife. This award-winning eco-attraction just minutes from central Wellington provides un-rivalled opportunities to see iconic species like kiwi, tuatara, kaka and dozens more species found nowhere else in the world.

DAY 11 - Head to Pencarrow Lodge and try your hand at human sheep dog trial, extreme hole in one golf, Claybird shooting and Quad biking.

DAY 12 - Wellington will bid farewell to The Great Crusade, after 12 days of unforgettable South Island adventure.


10 DAY Auckland Adventure: October 14 - 24

DAY 1 - The tour arrives into Auckland ready to take on the darkness, fear and heart-pounding terror of Spookers, New Zealand's only haunted attraction theme park. Visit if you dare!

DAY 2 - Fore! AA round of golf at Gulf Harbour Country Club will combine picturesque scenery with a world class course and country club.

DAY 3 - A half-day Bush and Beach Wilderness Experience will be followed by a half-day "A Taste of Kumeu Wine Country" tour with Great Taste Tours. Sample award-winning wines and cheese, plus visit the gannet colony at Muriwai Beach. 

DAY 4 - Jet boating at 85 km/h will get the morning off to a flying start at Auckland Jet Boat Adventures. If Swimming with Sharks is a dream spine-tingling experience, Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World is the perfect place to visit in the afternoon.

DAY 5 - Slowing the pace down somewhat, a morning of America's Cup Sailing adventure allows novice sailors to take the helm of an actual America's Cup Yacht. In the afternoon, a session of Quad Biking will be a rev-heads paradise.

DAY 6 - A visit to AJ Hackett Bungy will get the stomach churning, before an afternoon of cruising the highway around Auckland on Harley Davidson's with Bularangi Motorbikes.

DAY 7 - To experience the air up there, a scenic helicopter flight with Helilink will provide some amazing views of Auckland. Once back on the ground, a tour of Auckland with Tamaki Hikoi will provide a unique cultural experience of the city.

DAY 8 - After the frenetic pace of the week, a day of sightseeing around the city will offer the chance to experience the arts, history and culture of Auckland, recently judged the World's Most Livable City.

DAY 9 - The Rugby meets the Races at the Ellerslie Race Course. Special edition 'Rugby Race Days' will be held in September and October and play host to an international crowd to experience the style, glamour of New Zealand racing.

DAY 10 - A 10 day action-packed adventure around Auckland draws to a close, as does the amazing tour that has been The Great Crusade.
